Niseko Village, located in Niseko Town, Abuta District, Hokkaido, is widely recognized as a world-class ski destination — but the mountain resort operates year-round. The 2026 season begins gradually from Golden Week, with summer activities, golf, and hotel stays available through September.
Summer at Niseko Village offers panoramic views of Mt. Yotei, a refreshingly cool climate, and a range of nature-based activities. Average temperatures in July and August hover around 20°C, offering a genuine break from urban heat. The area is also easily accessible by car from Sapporo (approximately 2 hours) or New Chitose Airport (approximately 2 hours 15 minutes), and road conditions during summer are comfortable for getting around. Accommodation rates in summer are also more manageable than during the peak winter season, making it possible to enjoy the resort's facilities at a more accessible price.
