Grandvaux Spa Village, the glamping area of Sport & Do Resort RESOL no MORI in Nagara Town, Chiba Prefecture, is holding "RESOL no MORI Obon 2026," an experience fair centered on the blessings of the forest and the cool of summer, from Saturday, August 8 to Sunday, August 16, 2026. Throughout the period, guests can enjoy special programs built around this season's brand of "cool," from water activities to sparkler making and wind chime painting.

RESOL no MORI Obon 2026 Offers Nature Experiences to Enjoy with Family and Loved Ones, Amid Forest Breezes and Cool Waterside Air

As the lush green forest glimmers in the sunlight and people seek out the cool of nature in this season, RESOL no MORI is holding its Obon-limited experience fair, RESOL no MORI Obon 2026.

Throughout the period, the resort has prepared a wide range of programs for enjoying summer in nature, from water activities such as SUP on the 130-meter resort pool, to seasonal favorites like sparkler making and wind chime painting, and a summer festival that guests of any generation can join. From children to adults, everyone can create their own summer memories in their own way.

Surrounded by sunlight filtering through the trees, guests can feel the blessings of nature and a cool breeze, and enjoy a memorable summer moment through experiences unique to this season.

SUP FIT — A Fitness Activity for Body and Mind

SUP FIT

SUP FIT is a fitness activity that combines yoga, strength training, and Pilates on a stand-up paddleboard (SUP). Instructors provide attentive support, so even those who aren't confident in sports, or are trying SUP for the first time, can join with peace of mind.

Floating Sound Bath — A Wellness Experience Floating on the Forest Pool

Floating Sound Bath

Floating Sound Bath is a wellness experience in which guests entrust themselves to a floating bed and drift on the water while sounds wash over them. Lying back on a floating bed on the resort pool, lit up in a dreamlike glow, guests are enveloped in natural sounds and the tones of singing bowls, calming both body and mind.

Indigo Dye Fabric Panel Making

In this program, guests harvest fresh indigo leaves and use them to dye a "fabric panel." The indigo used has been grown from seed since early this spring at the herb nursery in RESOL no MORI's hot spring glamping area. Guests dye silk fabric a refreshing, summery pale blue, creating a fabric panel to bring home and display in their room.

Wind Chime Painting

Guests paint their own original wind chime with cooling polka dots or goldfish, or summery sunflowers and morning glories, in the wind chime painting experience. Complete with a tabletop stand, the finished wind chime can be displayed at the entrance or on a table at home, its cool chime offering a bit of relief from the summer heat.

Crystal Bowl x Yoga

Crystal Bowl Yoga is designed to balance the autonomic nervous system and guide body and mind into deep relaxation. The crystal bowl is an instrument made of quartz crystal, and its clear, beautiful tone and rich overtones gently envelop both body and mind.

Sparkler Making

Led by a fireworks craftsman who specializes in "wabi," a traditional Japanese fireworks style, this workshop teaches guests about the raw materials and the science behind how sparks form. Guests carefully wrap gunpowder in washi paper to make their own original sparklers, one by one.

Telescope Building & Perseid Meteor Shower Stargazing Tour

Telescope Building and Stargazing Tour

Guests can explore the mysteries of the night sky through a telescope-building workshop and a Perseid meteor shower stargazing tour. Participants assemble a compact, high-performance kit telescope produced by the National Astronomical Observatory of Japan, then observe summer stars with commentary from a stargazing guide — including the Milky Way stretching across the sky, the Perseid meteor shower, and Albireo, the double star in Cygnus known as the "jewel of the sky" for its striking contrast of orange and blue.

Under the careful guidance of a swimming coach with 29 years of coaching experience, children can work through their sticking points and build their skills.

About Grandvaux Spa Village

Grandvaux Spa Village is a glamping accommodation area offering nature experiences and natural hot springs, born from the sister-town relationship established in July 1979 between Nagara Furusato Village, in Nagara Town, Chiba Prefecture, and the former village of Grandvaux, Switzerland.
