Fermentation-themed restaurant Mitsukabose in Toyonaka, Osaka is hosting the second edition of the Nukadoko MARKET 2026 — Hokusetsu Neighborhood Craft Market — on April 29, 2026 (Wednesday, Showa Day). The event, which was a hit at its inaugural run last year, gathers food producers, local shops, and cultural creators centered around the Hokusetsu region.
The event aims to spark new discoveries and connections for residents of and newcomers to the Hokusetsu area, offering a chance to encounter the food, goods, and creative culture that define everyday life in the region. Just like the microorganisms in nukadoko (fermentation beds), the organizers hope the market will be a place where people actively ferment new relationships.
