A large-scale gourmet event featuring over 160 kitchen cars will take place at Ama Historic Park in Takatsuki City. The Kitchen Car Grand Prix will be held over five days: February 14 (Saturday) and 15 (Sunday), followed by February 21 (Saturday), 22 (Sunday), and 23 (Monday, national holiday), 2026.
This event brings together kitchen cars recognized for both popularity and quality in a celebration of food that attracted approximately 6,000 visitors last year. For the fifth edition, organizers have expanded the event by one day, running for two consecutive weekends with a total of five days.
Diverse Menu Selections
The event features kitchen cars that have won awards at previous gourmet events and vendors offering local delicacies from across Japan. Visitors can enjoy hearty hamburgers overflowing with meat juices, warm comfort foods perfect for the cold season, and classic favorites like takoyaki and gyoza that are ideal for eating while walking around the park.
For those with a sweet tooth, the event includes vendors serving popular treats such as crepes, waffle potatoes, and churros that are especially loved by children. Each day will feature approximately 35 kitchen cars, totaling over 160 different food trucks throughout the event.
Additional Entertainment
Beyond the food offerings, the event includes various entertainment options:
- A popularity vote to determine the most popular kitchen car
- A carnival corner with activities for children
- Street performances
- A stamp rally where participants can win prizes
