A Fantastical "Halloween Lounge" Created by 100 Mirrors
Bathhouses are full of mirrors — in the bathing areas, the changing rooms, and beyond. This Halloween, utatane is making the most of that mirror-filled setting with an event centered on meeting "the other you hiding inside the mirror."
100 mirrors that normally reflect guests without a second thought have been used to decorate the space, transforming it into a mysterious realm where light and shadow intertwine — offering an out-of-the-ordinary experience of becoming a slightly different "you."
Wherever you look, countless reflections of yourself appear, creating the curious sensation of being lost in a maze — and providing plenty of dark-fantasy photo opportunities perfect for social media.
"Villain Makeup" for Meeting a Different Side of Yourself
A self-makeup experience lets guests transform into their own "dark side." A dedicated area offers face-paint stickers and point-makeup cosmetics that even beginners can easily try, inviting visitors to discover a new version of themselves in the mirror.
A Giant, Roughly 50cm Pumpkin Makes an Appearance
This year's Halloween Lounge features a giant pumpkin roughly 50cm across, harvested and sourced by the facility's manager. Its overwhelming presence makes a striking impact — and guests can do more than just look, they can also touch it and feel its weight for themselves. Set against the mysterious interplay of light and shadow, it makes for a memorable photo you can only get here.
Trick-or-Treat Challenge
During the event period, Halloween-costumed staff carrying pumpkin buckets will appear randomly around the facility. When and where they show up is part of the day's fun. Explore the facility to find them, and if you say the magic words, "Trick or treat!", you'll receive a Halloween treat on the spot.
Get as Close to the Jack-o'-Lantern as Possible: The "Kabotcha" Tournament
Utatane is holding "Kabotcha," a participatory event that gives a Halloween twist to boccia — a para sport that people of any age or ability can enjoy.
In boccia, players throw or roll red and blue balls toward a white target ball (the jack ball), competing to see who can land closest — a sport that rewards strategy. In this event, a Halloween-familiar jack-o'-lantern stands in for the target ball, and players throw special balls to compete on proximity.
It's an original autumn activity from utatane that kids and adults alike can get absorbed in with family or friends after a bath.

Autumn Seasonal Baths and Halloween Sauna Performances
