Okinawa Harbor View Hotel (Izumizaki, Naha City, Okinawa) has started selling a "Towel Art Stay Plan" designed to make guests' special days even more memorable, drawing on the hotel's 50 years of hospitality tradition.
Swan Towel Art to Mark a Special Day
Since its opening in 1975, the hotel has served as a venue for important gatherings, ceremonies, and personal milestones in Okinawa. As part of this new plan, staff welcome guests with a handcrafted towel sculpture of two swans facing each other — a nod to the bird's symbolism of purity, grace, and beauty. Swans are also known as migratory birds that travel together across roughly 3,000 km, supporting one another along the way, making them a natural symbol of shared journeys through life.
The plan is intended for a variety of meaningful occasions:
- Birthdays – A warm gathering with friends or family to celebrate time spent together
- Anniversaries – A moment to reflect on the journey shared with a partner and look forward to what lies ahead
- Proposals – A setting to mark the beginning of a new chapter together
The two swans in the towel arrangement are crafted to reflect the unique story of each guest.

About Okinawa Harbor View Hotel

Located in central Naha, Okinawa Harbor View Hotel blends Okinawan tradition with contemporary refinement. A renovation project under the theme "Be Reborn" — encompassing guest rooms, restaurants, and other facilities — is now complete, with the final phase being the garden pool renovation. The redesigned guest rooms feature a sophisticated modern aesthetic inspired by Ryukyu indigo and shell ginger motifs. The hotel's restaurants offer a diverse range of dishes reflecting the flavors of contemporary Okinawa. In December 2025, "Teppanyaki Izumizaki" — the only teppanyaki restaurant in Okinawa recognized as a Kobe Beef Designated Registered Restaurant — opened, serving both Okinawan branded beef and Kobe beef. The top floor also features a newly added club lounge spanning 356 m², described as the largest of its kind in Naha.
