Oriental Hotel Tokyo Bay, in Urayasu, Chiba, is bringing a giant pumpkin gate called "Pumpkin Gate" to its lobby starting September 11, 2026 (Friday), creating a Halloween atmosphere throughout the property. On October 23 (Friday), 24 (Saturday), and 30 (Friday), the hotel will also hold a photo event with costumed Halloween characters, exclusively for guests staying at the hotel.
As an official Tokyo Disney Resort® Partner Hotel, Oriental Hotel Tokyo Bay aims to make every moment of a stay part of the trip itself, not just a place to sleep. Through experiences such as an interactive projection mapping display in the lobby, seasonal decorations, and guest-participation events, the hotel works to create memorable stays.
For this year's Halloween season, the hotel wants guests to keep feeling the theme-park spirit even after they return to the hotel. From September 11 (Friday), the lobby will feature the "Pumpkin Gate" decoration and photo spot, and for three days in late October, the hotel will host a photo event with Halloween characters in its guest-only welcome lounge, offering a stay experience unique to the Halloween season.
Guest Feedback From Last Year Turns This Year's Lobby Decoration Into an Interactive Photo Spot
Last October's Halloween lobby decoration drew many guests who stopped to take photos. Comments from guests included "I felt excited the moment I stepped into the lobby" and "Having staff take our photo became a family memory." In response, this year the hotel has introduced "Pumpkin Gate," an interactive photo spot that lets guests walk through a giant pumpkin gate themselves, as if stepping into the world of Halloween. From the moment they arrive at the hotel, guests can enjoy the Halloween atmosphere together with family and friends.
Last year's overnight-guest-only event also featured a pumpkin monster over 2 meters tall, drawing long lines for photos. Building on comments such as "Even just visiting the welcome lounge made the kids happy, and the performance was fun," "I'd never been so overwhelmed by a monster before," and "My child kept smiling the whole time thanks to the candy and toy gifts," the hotel will once again offer photos with Halloween characters and candy or toy gifts for children, exclusively for overnight guests this year.

Halloween Decoration and Photo Spot Overview
The lobby decoration's theme is "Pumpkin Gate: A Gateway to the World of Halloween." A large pumpkin frame lit by lanterns serves as an entrance, creating the feeling of stepping into a world where monsters lurk. Guests become part of the decoration themselves, walking through the pumpkin gate or peeking their faces through it for an interactive photo spot experience.
