About Tirolian
Tirolian is a Western-style confection launched by Chidoriya in 1962 and is a registered trademark of Chidoriya Manju Souhonpo Co., Ltd.
Beloved as both a Fukuoka souvenir and a household treat, Tirolian is made with traditional recipes from Austria's Tyrol region. The company creates these treats by baking roll cookies using time-honored methods and adding their own twist by filling them with cream, all crafted with love and care.
About Chidoriya Manju Souhonpo
Founded in 1630 (7th year of Kan'ei), Chidoriya has been creating unique and original products centered around Chidori Manju, including Castella, Maru-Boro, and Tirolian. These confections primarily trace their roots to Nanban (Southern Barbarian) sweets, enhanced with creative innovations using only carefully selected, safe ingredients.
Under the philosophy of "Sanpo Yoshi" (good for all three parties), the company aims to be a confectionery shop that brings good fortune, taking inspiration from the Chidori bird, which is considered a bird of good luck, to create happiness for customers and society.
