Gakken, a group company of Gakken Holdings Co., Ltd. (Shinagawa, Tokyo / President & CEO: Hiroaki Miyahara), released the digital book Osu Shikamen Salmon Uchuu Ninja-hen 2: Nazo no Kunoichi to Wana Darake no Karakuri-jou on January 30, 2026.

The Osu Shikamen Salmon series is a reading series for elementary school students featuring various play elements such as riddles, spot-the-difference puzzles, puns, puzzles, and mazes. Six volumes have been published in print format so far. The series is now continuing with new digital releases published irregularly.

In the latest story, the justice hero Osu Shikamen, who defeated unique space ninjas modeled after ramen and refrigerators, faces new enemies. Magic Inchiki, also known as Osu Shikamen No. 2, appears in place of injured comrades. However, space ninjas and mysterious kunoichi characters set up various traps in front of the Karakuri Castle. Watch how the two Osu Shikamen heroes overcome these elaborate traps. The story includes a thorough recap of previous episodes, so readers can enjoy it even starting from this installment.

Don't miss the new transformation form of Osu Shikamen (Sushio) that appears in the latter half of the story.

Takao Kawasaki Profile

Illustrator and manga artist. Born in 1975. From Kanagawa Prefecture, residing in Tokyo. Works include the manga Machiboke Shinshi (Seirinkogeisha) and illustrated picture book Gum no Yousei, written by Warai-meshi (Iwasaki Shoten).
