POP MART Opens Its Second Okinawa Store at Urasoe PARCO CITY on November 6

The art toy brand POP MART will open "POP MART Okinawa Urasoe PARCO CITY" on Friday, November 6, 2026, in Urasoe, Okinawa Prefecture.

This summer, POP MART opened its first Okinawa store on Naha's Kokusai-dori, a street busy with visitors from Japan and abroad. The new store is the brand's second in the prefecture. It is located in PARCO CITY in Urasoe (浦添西海岸 PARCO CITY), a large commercial complex with a wide mix of fashion, dining and household goods shops that is popular with local customers across a wide range of generations. Through the new store, POP MART aims to bring the world of POP MART and the appeal of designer toys closer to more people in Okinawa.

Inspired by the beautiful sea that stretches out in front of PARCO CITY, the store's main visual and in-store monuments feature "CRYBABY Cry Me an Ocean series" from POP MART's popular CRYBABY IP.

What Is CRYBABY?

CRYBABY is a character that is neither a boy nor a girl, and not a human either, embodying all the emotions that lie deep within our hearts. Smiling is not the only way to ease the mind, and shedding tears can heal us as well. Tears are not only for sadness. They can come from joy, deep emotion or frustration, and each person has their own reasons. CRYBABY also cries for its own reasons.

The "CRYBABY Cry Me an Ocean series," chosen as the store's main IP, uses sea creatures to portray how we live with all sorts of feelings without realizing it, whether we are trying to live up to someone's expectations or holding back how we really feel. It treats tears as something that soothes the heart and carries the message to accept every emotion without forcing yourself to be strong, and to value who you really are.

The main visual features "THE MANTA RAY," based on the manta ray from the series. The background shows the PARCO CITY building and the clear sea that spreads out in front of it, creating a special visual that blends Okinawa's landscape with the world of CRYBABY.

The in-store monuments are "THE WHALE," based on a whale, and "THE ANGLERFISH," based on an anglerfish. Combining these sea creatures with the playful element of a bathtub, they express the concept of "creating your own sea of tears in a bathtub." These special monuments bring the world of emotions into a more familiar and playful form, and can only be enjoyed here.
