The Gashapon Bandai Official Shop Asakusa Hanayashiki store — a specialty store for Bandai's Gashapon capsule toy brand — is opening on March 4, 2026, just outside the Asakusa Hanayashiki grounds in Taito Ward, Tokyo.
As large-format capsule toy specialty stores have become increasingly common across Japan in recent years, the format has grown into a popular form of casual entertainment. The new Asakusa location brings together Bandai's original Gashapon brand, planning and production by Bandai Namco Experience, and the operational expertise of Bandai Namco Amusement — a collaboration aimed at delivering Gashapon's distinctive excitement and wide variety of products directly to fans.
Spanning 59.5 m² with 300 machines, the store carries all of Bandai's new Gashapon releases and aims to introduce new dimensions of the Gashapon experience to visitors from both Japan and abroad.

Heisei Puri Miniature Charm

2. Online Store with In-Store Pickup
Some products are available for purchase through the official Gashapon Bandai Official Shop online store, operated by Bandai Namco Amusement, with the option to pick up orders at the counter of participating locations.
Note: The Gashapon Bandai Official Shop Asakusa Hanayashiki store is not included in the in-store pickup service.
3. A Unique Gashapon Experience at the Official Shop
The shop features interactive elements unique to the Gashapon brand, including the "Gashapoint Station" — a collection box for empty capsules that lets visitors enjoy the iconic handle-turning action at the heart of the Gashapon name ("Gasha" for the spin, "pon" for the drop). A showcase displaying featured products is also on site. Purchase campaigns and customer participation events are planned as well.

During the opening period, visitors who follow the X account "Gashapon Bandai Official Shop Asakusa Hanayashiki" (@gasha_hana) at the store and show the screen to a staff member will receive an original cotton mini drawstring bag as a gift. Available while supplies last.
