Prosecco DOC's Italian Elegance Returns to Daimaru and Matsuzakaya This Fall

The Consorzio di Tutela della Denominazione di Origine Controllata Prosecco, based in Treviso, Italy, is once again introducing the appeal of Prosecco DOC to consumers in Japan at four Daimaru and Matsuzakaya stores this year.

This year, the many charms of Prosecco DOC will be showcased through two events: the Sparkling Wine Fair, held in September across Tokyo, Nagoya, Fukuoka, and Sapporo, and 世界の酒とチーズフェスティバル, held in Tokyo in October.

For the September Sparkling Wine Fair, special Prosecco DOC corners will be set up in the Japanese and Western liquor departments at the Tokyo, Nagoya, Fukuoka, and Sapporo stores of Daimaru and Matsuzakaya, highlighting Prosecco DOC's fresh, fruity, and elegant character, which pairs easily with a wide range of dishes and occasions.

At each store, mainly on weekends, staff knowledgeable about Prosecco DOC will be on hand to introduce the characteristics and flavors of each product, suggesting food pairings and ways to enjoy Prosecco DOC suited to different occasions.

The fair offers a chance to experience Prosecco DOC's diverse flavors and styles, and to discover how it can be enjoyed in settings ranging from everyday meals to special occasions.

In October, the stage moves to 世界の酒とチーズフェスティバル, one of Daimaru Tokyo's signature food events, where Prosecco DOC's appeal will continue to be showcased.

At the venue, visitors will be able to take part in tastings, with specialist staff on hand to help each guest choose a Prosecco DOC suited to their taste. Guests can compare a variety of flavors and styles side by side to find the Prosecco DOC that's right for them.
