American cookie brand PUG, which has sold more than 400,000 Boston Cookies nationwide since opening last year, is taking its signature cookie a step further this summer. Starting Friday, August 7, 2026, PUG is rolling out three new "Bold Boston Cookie" flavors along with two summer-only seasonal cookies at its stores across Japan.
PUG's classic Boston Cookie aims for a balanced sweetness and a flavor that doesn't get old, satisfying on its own yet still leaving you wanting another. Each palm-sized cookie is baked without being shaped, so no two look quite alike, and each is packed with chocolate and nuts. The outside has a light crunch while the inside stays soft and chewy, and the fresh-baked aroma and melting texture keep people coming back for more — a cookie rich enough to double as dessert.
Bold Boston Cookie: An Evolution of the Original, Loaded with Mix-Ins in Every Bite
The defining trait of the Bold Boston Cookie is exactly that: boldness. Thick, large, and packed with generously cut chocolate and mix-ins, it's a substantial cookie with plenty of bite. Built on the base of the original Boston Cookie dough with even more volume, it becomes PUG's second core cookie. The first release brings three flavors to the lineup.
Smore — ¥500
A melty cookie loaded with marshmallow and chocolate, topped generously with cocoa cookie pieces. Break it open by hand and the marshmallow inside stretches and oozes out.
Red Velvet Cranberry — ¥500
A cookie mixed with cranberry and cheese powder for a look and flavor that's festive yet refined. A finishing touch of white chocolate adds an accent both visually and in taste.
Salt Caramel Pecan Crunch — ¥500

Summer-Only Seasonal Cookies: "Summer Sun" and "Summer Night"
PUG is also introducing seasonal cookies inspired by different summer moments. These are summer-only items, available through Wednesday, September 30. New PUG cookies are also planned for the coming seasons, including Halloween in fall and Christmas in winter.
Citrus Sunshine — ¥500
A cookie packed with orange, lemon, and coconut — ingredients that fit the mood of summer. A white chocolate decoration gives it a cool, refreshing look.
Midnight Double Chocolate Fudge — ¥500
A rich treat for summer nights, made with raw chocolate cubes and drizzled chocolate dusted in cocoa powder, for anyone looking to indulge in chocolate.
