A Last Made for Japanese Feet, About 295 g Per Shoe
The GSS-301 is a Japan-fit model built on a last designed specifically for Japanese feet. It comes in 3E width and nine sizes, from 24.0 to 28.0 cm in 0.5 cm increments.
The design considers not only how easy the shoes are to put on but also how comfortable they feel while walking all 18 holes. At size 25.0 cm, each shoe weighs about 295 g.
Dial-Type, Yet Still Bending Over: Where Development Began
Dial-type golf shoes removed the effort of tying laces, but the motion of putting a foot in stayed the same as with conventional shoes.
PYKES PEAK focused on that moment of putting the shoes on. By combining an opening that does not catch the heel with a sock-like structure that wraps the foot, the brand created a shoe that can be put on without using the hands.
The brand says it hopes that easier preparation before a round will lighten the walk to the first hole, bringing golfers a slightly lighter day on the course.

The shoe has a hands-free structure with an opening that does not catch the heel. After the foot goes in, the fit is adjusted simply by turning the dial. Because there is less need to bend at the waist, preparing before a round and moving to the driving range become smoother.

The shoe has a sock-type structure that wraps the entire foot. This gives a strong sense of unity with the foot and reduces slipping during swings and while walking. The opening also helps keep sand and grass from getting in.

The upper uses a TPU material that resists water absorption. The shoes can be worn comfortably on grass wet with morning dew or on days of light rain. Dirt is easy to wipe off, so care after a round is simple.
