Renewed Lobby: "Water" and "Stars" Theme
This spring, the hotel lobby at Qkamura Okudaisen was redesigned around the themes of "water" and "stars." The renovated space features KAWAJUN furniture selected for its texture and comfort, along with a bioethanol fireplace at the center. The lobby aims to serve as a welcoming retreat that makes the beginning and end of each stay feel special.
A curated book corner with over 120 titles is now available for guests. The selection includes books about the San'in region, as well as titles on outdoor activities, camping, mountaineering, and nature photography — themes that pair naturally with an Okudaisen stay. Children's educational books and picture books are also available, making the corner suitable for all ages.

The lobby's café corner serves coffee and tea brewed with natural water drawn from 250 meters underground on the southern slopes of Mt. Daisen — water shaped over many years by the beech and mizunara oak forests of Okudaisen.
Evening Star-Gazing Program
Each evening, Tottori's famously clear night skies — the reason the prefecture is dubbed the "Star-Collecting Prefecture" — become the backdrop for a nightly program. From 8:00 PM, the "Stargazing Night" program is held in the renewed lobby, with staff guiding guests through the seasonal constellations visible overhead.

Bioethanol Fireplace
The lobby's centerpiece is a bioethanol fireplace, a modern type of fireplace that burns fuel derived from crops such as corn and sugarcane. Because bioethanol combustion produces no smoke or soot, no chimney or exhaust equipment is needed. The result is a safe open flame that adds a calming warmth to the space.

Golden Week Limited: San'in Food Journey Buffet
During Golden Week, a special "San'in Food Journey Buffet" is available at the hotel, featuring dishes made with Okudaisen natural water and seasonal local ingredients. Highlights include Daisen Pork, a local brand, and fresh seafood delivered from Sakaiminato — one of Japan's leading fishing ports by catch volume.
- Period: April 24 (Fri) to May 6 (Wed), 2026
- Price: From ¥16,000 per person for one night with two meals (tax included, based on two adults sharing a room on a weekday)
