Hoshino Resorts RISONARE Yatsugatake, a resort hotel nestled in the nature-rich Yatsugatake area, will host its 22nd annual spring festival "Kairou no Hanasaku RISONARE 2026" from April 25 to May 24, 2026, featuring a spectacular 160-meter flower corridor. This annual spring tradition, which began in 2005, transforms the hotel's main street "Piment Street" with vibrant floral decorations. This year introduces a new "Aerial Flower Walk" activity where guests can walk through flower arches while suspended 5 to 7 meters above the ground. Additionally, various shops along Piment Street will offer special flower-themed menu items including "Flowering Flower Bread" and "Flowering Pizza."
Background
RISONARE Yatsugatake is located at an elevation of approximately 1,000 meters in a highland resort area where spring arrives from late April to May. "Kairou no Hanasaku RISONARE" is an annual event held on Piment Street during the spring season. Throughout its history, the event has invited local high school and elementary school students to design the flower corridor decorations. This year continues the tradition with flower decorations designed by local high school students adorning Piment Street.
Feature 1: Piment Street Adorned with a 160-Meter Flower Corridor
Piment Street features a flower corridor where petals are laid out like a carpet. The corridor is designed by local high school students with the theme "Yatsugatake Spring." Students express their individual interpretations of "Yatsugatake Spring," from delicately depicting dancing petals to drawing powerful flowers inspired by the dynamic nature of Yatsugatake. The entire 160-meter corridor is decorated with flowers, creating a gorgeous and colorful atmosphere on Piment Street.
Note: Tulip petal decorations are available for a limited period from April 25 to May 6, 2026.

The decorations from April 25 to May 6 use tulip petals that would have been discarded after being cut before blooming to cultivate quality bulbs. With the desire to share these beautiful petals with visitors to RISONARE Yatsugatake, approximately 350,000 tulips will adorn the corridor during this period.
Feature 2: Aerial Flower Walk Through Flower Arches [NEW]
The athletic course, positioned 5 to 7 meters above ground, will host the first-ever "Aerial Flower Walk." Set in the forest within the facility, guests can progress through flower-decorated courses while enjoying spring scenery from above. This activity allows participants to walk through flower arches and experience the arrival of spring with all their senses.

The kitchen car also offers colorful mocktails expressing flower colors. Guests can spend a pleasant spring moment with these special flower-themed menu items in the flower-decorated Piment Street.
