A hot air balloon experience event is scheduled at two venues near the north slope of Mt. Fuji over the weekend of May 30–31, 2026. On Saturday, May 30, the event takes place at Fuji Mountain Parking (Fuji Hokurou Parking), and on Sunday, May 31, it moves to Fuji Subaru Land.
Hot Air Balloon Experience (Tethered)

During the calm early morning hours, a tethered hot air balloon ascends to approximately 15 meters above the ground, offering a full 360-degree panorama of the surrounding landscape. In the pleasant early-summer air, participants can take in the sweeping view of Mt. Fuji and the vast natural scenery spreading across its foothills — a perspective that simply cannot be found from ground level.
- Fuji Mountain Parking: Parking is free of charge.
- Fuji Subaru Land: No park entrance ticket is required. Parking is also free.
Cancellations may occur due to rain, severe weather forecasts, or unsafe wind conditions on the day. Boarding times are subject to change, and on-the-day cancellation decisions may be made if conditions deteriorate.
Two Days of Events for Peace of Mind

Hot air ballooning is an activity heavily influenced by weather conditions. To ease concerns about possible cancellations, if Day 1 (May 30) is called off due to bad weather, participants can transfer to and join Day 2 (May 31) instead.
This is a convenient arrangement for those staying in the area over the weekend, or for visitors traveling from nearby regions.
If both days are held as scheduled, a separate participation fee applies for each day. Both days may also be cancelled if weather does not permit. If a cancellation is confirmed in advance, an announcement will be posted on each venue's official website by approximately 3:00 PM the previous day.
