Square Enix (Headquarters: Shinjuku, Tokyo; President and Representative Director: Takashi Kiryu) is bringing a new touring real-life mystery-solving game to Tokyo's Yamanote Line, created in collaboration with Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven. "Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven 円環のにゃにゃ英雄 powered by Catrip Yamanote Line" goes on sale in early October 2026, and reservations open at the Square Enix e-STORE on Thursday, September 17, 2026.
The latest entry in the Catrip series of real-life puzzle games played by walking through actual city streets, this installment sends players on a free-roaming scenario across the Yamanote Line, starting at Shinjuku Station, as they pursue the Seven Heroes.
A key visual has also been released alongside the announcement.
The Seven Heroes Descend on the Yamanote Line
The Seven Heroes of Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven — Kzinssie, Bokhohn, Subier, Dantarg, Rocbouquet, Noel, and Wagnas — take their names from stations along the Yamanote Line, and stand in players' way at their namesake stops.

A Free-Roaming Real-Life Mystery Adventure Starting From Shinjuku
Players take on the role of the Emperor, first facing off against the Seven Hero Kzinssie at Shinjuku Station. From there, the scenario opens up completely, letting players travel the Yamanote Line clockwise or counterclockwise in any order they like. Using their wits to solve riddles, players track down the Seven Hero linked to each station.
Accompanied by a mysterious cat, players make their way through the game while getting a feel for the history and charm of each neighborhood — a touring real-life mystery game that brings the world of Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven to life in the real world. All that's needed to play is a mystery-solving kit and a smartphone with LINE, so anyone can join in.
Early-Purchase Bonus: Seven Heroes Sticker Included
Early purchasers of this game will receive one of seven specially designed Seven Heroes stickers, chosen at random. Which hero you get is a surprise until you open it.
Everyone who reserves the game is guaranteed to receive one bonus sticker. After release, the bonus will end once supplies run out, so early reservation is recommended.
Note: The sticker design cannot be chosen. Bonus stock is limited, and once it runs out, the sticker will no longer be included.

About Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven
Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven is a full 3D remake of Romancing SaGa 2, originally released in December 1993. The world and characters, once rendered in pixel art, have been rebuilt in full 3D, and event scenes are now fully voiced. The game keeps the free-scenario storytelling and the series' signature "Glimmer" and "Formation" systems intact, while adding a new "United Attack" system, revamped growth mechanics, and additional difficulty options, making it more approachable for players new to the SaGa series. Players take on the role of an imperial Emperor, expanding their territory while confronting the Seven Heroes. To stand against the Seven Heroes' overwhelming power, each Emperor passes their abilities on to the next, waging an epic battle that spans thousands of years.
