It is part of "CHRISTMAS HILLS 2026", the Christmas program across five Hills that starts on Thursday, November 5, and lets visitors experience a Christmas market in the style of authentic German ones.

Known as one of Japan's long-established Christmas markets, it reaches its 20th edition this year. In thanks for 20 years, each shop has prepared a special 20th-edition item and festive anniversary-only menus. Four retail shops, led by Käthe Wohlfahrt, famous for traditional German Christmas items, sell ornaments, wreaths, and other select items found only here. Together with the restaurants serving authentic German food such as Glühwein (mulled wine), sausages, and stollen, 10 shops in all line up. A lunch set that is available only at weekday lunchtime is also on offer.

Ahead of the market, decorations such as illuminations and Christmas trees start to appear at various places in Roppongi Hills from November 5. At the "Keyakizaka Illumination," a collaboration with JRA also brings a gift box with various surprises to the Keyakizaka connecting bridge.

Marking its 20th edition, the market is one of Japan's long-established Christmas markets. In the milestone year of 2026, special programs, including limited goods prepared in gratitude for the 20th edition, celebrate the anniversary.

The venue recreates the Christmas market of Stuttgart, said to be the world's largest. Ten shops line up, including Käthe Wohlfahrt, known for handling traditional German Christmas items all year round, and shops serving authentic German food such as Glühwein, sausages, and stollen.
