Roppongi Hills in Tokyo will hold ROPPONGI HILLS CHRISTMAS 2026 from Thursday, November 5 to Friday, December 25, 2026, with seasonal lighting and Christmas attractions at venues across the complex.
The centerpiece is the Keyakizaka Illumination, a winter staple in Tokyo. Along the roughly 400 m tree-lined Keyakizaka street, about 970,000 LEDs shine in the "SNOW & BLUE" theme. Separate illuminations with different looks also light up 66 Plaza and Mohri Garden. At Oyane Plaza (大屋根プラザ), the annual Christmas Market recreates a German-style Christmas market, and a Christmas tree is on display at West Walk.

Keyakizaka Illumination "SNOW & BLUE"
The Keyakizaka Illumination marks the arrival of winter in Roppongi. Along the roughly 400 m stretch of warm street lighting, "SNOW & BLUE" lights inspired by a silver-white world create a dreamlike scene. More than 20 years after Roppongi Hills opened, the display remains a well-loved Christmas tradition unique to the complex.

Comment From Sponsor JRA
JRA, which sponsors the illumination, says it wants to bring a fun holiday to as many people as possible, and is presenting the Keyakizaka lights again this year. A "moving diorama" featuring miniature horses appears beside the Arena, and the connecting bridge also has a playful feature. With big races such as the Japan Cup and the Arima Kinen coming up at the end of the year, JRA encourages visitors to enjoy the display with family and friends, and to take a close look at the details.

Popular Photo Spots, Including a Spot That Fits Tokyo Tower and the 400 m Illumination in One Frame
The Keyakizaka Illumination is a great photo spot. Near Emporio Armani and Roppongi Tsutaya Books (六本木 蔦屋書店) on Keyakizaka-dori in particular, the whole illumination can be photographed from the top and bottom of the slope. The moment the lights come on is also a good time to shoot video.
LED Illumination That Is Kind to the Environment
Roppongi Hills has used LEDs for its illuminations since it opened in 2003, as an environmental measure.
66 Plaza Illumination
The 66 Plaza, the entrance to Roppongi Hills, also gets an illumination. Sparkling lights like a carpet of light give the surrounding trees a champagne-gold glow, wrapping the whole space in a warm atmosphere.

Mohri Garden Illumination
Two shades of gold are arranged like flowers, creating a refined sparkle. Pure white lights scattered like snow set off that glow, layering a clear brilliance over the gold. Visitors can enjoy a refined time that can only be experienced in winter, in the clear air of Mohri Garden.

West Walk Christmas Tree "HAUTE COUTURE IN BLOOM"
This year's West Walk Christmas tree is made of large blossoms, each petal shaped by hand as if tailoring a haute couture dress, bringing out both the lightness of organza and the sheen of shantung. The richly colored flowers overlap in layers and open toward the future, expressing delicacy and boldness, stillness and glamour, and the breath of life in the moment a flower opens. The tree is meant to be looked up at together with someone special, creating an unforgettable Christmas memory.

About the Designer, MEGU / PETAL Design
MEGU / PETAL Design draws on a sensitivity to the form and vitality of flowers, developed through fresh flowers and the Japanese art of flower arrangement (華道), and creates works that are not bound by the size or look of real flowers. In 2015, the designer founded PETAL Design, an atelier specializing in giant flowers. Using materials such as paper and fabric, each petal is shaped by hand into a flower that is giant yet delicate.

Christmas Market 2026, a German-Style Christmas Market
Known as one of Japan's long-established Christmas markets, the Roppongi Hills Christmas Market marks its 20th edition this year. For the milestone year of 2026, limited-edition goods prepared as a thank-you and other special programs celebrate the anniversary.
The venue recreates the Christmas market of Stuttgart, Germany, said to be the largest in the world. Ten shops line up, including Käthe Wohlfahrt, known for handling traditional German Christmas items all year round, as well as shops serving authentic German food such as Glühwein (mulled wine), sausages, and stollen.
