Saisai Malatang Lazona Kawasaki Plaza Opens January 17, 2026 - First Malatang Specialty Restaurant in Kanto Region

LIFE style Co., Ltd. (headquartered in Kita-ku, Osaka) opens Saisai Malatang, a specialty malatang restaurant themed around "food as medicine" and "local consumption," at Lazona Kawasaki Plaza on Saturday, January 17, 2026.

Food as Medicine Philosophy

The ancient concept of "food as medicine" suggests that food and health share the same origins. Malatang stands out as a powerful ally for achieving inner beauty and wellness.

The restaurant features low-GI, low-calorie glass noodles rich in minerals and dietary fiber, as well as konjac noodles that are nearly zero-calorie and highly effective for dieting. Based on the "local consumption" philosophy (the idea that consuming seasonal local produce promotes health), guests can freely choose from a colorful array of toppings displayed in showcases, centered on local vegetables.

Seven Customizable Soup Options

Mala Tomato Soup

The collagen-rich soup, blended with more than ten types of spices, comes in seven varieties. Guests can select spice levels from 0 (mild) to 5 (extra spicy), creating infinite combinations. Free upgrades to half-and-half noodle options allow guests to enjoy both thick glass noodles' chewy texture and thin glass noodles' smooth texture.

Photographer Rina Profile

Born in Osaka in 1992, Rina graduated from a confectionery school and worked as a boulanger. Feeling dissatisfied with advertising photography that failed to capture visual deliciousness in everyday life, she transitioned to photography.

As a food photographer, she encounters the vitality of ingredients and chefs' souls infused in each dish, experiencing the joy and richness that "food" brings. She pursues creating images where the "passion" speaks rather than merely conveying information.

After continuous exploration of eating as an instinctive act, she arrived at the concept of "erotic thinking in food and life," beginning art activities with this as her identity. She aims to create works that leave awareness and resonance in viewers' hearts by visually expressing the beauty inherent in life.
