Samukawa Central Park in Kanagawa will host the Samukawa Cherry Blossom Festival 2026 on April 4, 2026 (Saturday). Admission is free.
The park is home to more than 70 Somei Yoshino cherry trees that bloom brilliantly every spring. One of the standout features is the "Cherry Blossom Tunnel," where branches arch over approximately 100 meters along the jogging course, drawing visitors from both inside and outside the town.
Part 1 – Daytime Market & Stage Events
9:00 AM – 3:00 PM (Cancelled in case of rain)
Organized by the Samukawa Nigiwai Marché Executive Committee
- Kitchen trucks, craft goods, and workshop stalls
- Stage events including dance performances and live concerts
Part 2 – Cherry Blossom Tunnel Illumination
6:00 PM – 7:30 PM (Postponed to April 5 (Sunday) in case of rain)
Organized by the Samukawa Town Tourism Association
- Illumination of the "Cherry Blossom Tunnel" with colorful lighting for a dramatic, fantastical atmosphere
- Stalls selling toys, flowers, and crafts by local artisans
- No food and beverage stalls during Part 2
