The Shonan Beauty Clinic presents SBI Mai Hanabi in Chiba Inage Seaside Park (Inage Beach) feat. SKY ORCHESTRA took place on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at Inage Seaside Park (Inage Beach) in Chiba, drawing approximately 25,000 visitors to the paid-seating event.
Timed to mark the 900th anniversary of the founding of Chiba and the 50th anniversary of the opening of Inage Beach, the event was held in collaboration with fireworks collective Great Sky Art Co., Ltd., delivering a meticulously synchronized production in which music, fireworks, and light moved in unison throughout the evening.
The night sky and the surrounding space served as a stage, creating an experience described as a "fireworks entertainment that engages all five senses."
Program Overview
The evening opened with a ceremony featuring greetings from the Governor of Chiba Prefecture and the Mayor of Chiba City (delivered by proxy), along with remarks from the City Council Chairman. Chiba City's mascot character Chihana-chan also appeared on stage before a commemorative signal firework was launched to mark the milestones.
Following the opening ceremony, a large-scale drone show unfolded over the sea, themed around "LOVE & YELL" in anticipation of Part 1. Dozens of lights rose over the water in precisely controlled formations, building excitement for the music and fireworks to follow.

Part 1 featured live performances by HIPPY, TEE, and MayJ., with fireworks choreographed precisely to match each song's world. As each track played, shells burst overhead in rhythms and colors aligned with the music, merging stage and sky into a single immersive space. Part 2: Main Show "SKY ORCHESTRA"
Part 2 brought together some of Japan's top fireworks teams for the narrative fireworks show SKY ORCHESTRA. With music and fireworks in complete synchronization across the full expanse of Inage Beach, the performance unfolded with a clear dramatic arc — from build-up to climax.
From delicate traditional Japanese shells to large-burst rounds and richly colored sequences, the sky became a canvas for a visual story. The finale saw the entire audience area engulfed in light, bringing the show to a breathtaking close.
Light Message of Thanks to the Fireworks Artists
After the finale, audience members raised their smartphone lights in a "Light Message of Thanks" directed at the fireworks artists. The beachside filled with countless points of light, creating a moment that made the audience's appreciation for the craftspeople behind the fireworks visible to everyone in attendance.
