Four new models are joining the Seiko 5 Sports Field series, featuring a rotating compass bezel and Lumibrite luminescent coating applied to both the Arabic numeral indices and the hands — delivering strong legibility in low-light conditions. The watches go on sale June 5 (Friday), with prices ranging from ¥52,800 to ¥56,100 (tax included).
Lumibrite Arabic Numeral Indices for Dark Environments

The new models upgrade the existing Field series in both function and design. A 41mm case diameter is introduced — a size not currently available in the Seiko 5 Sports lineup — expanding the range of choices available.
The dial features Arabic numeral indices that have been well-received in current models, now with Lumibrite also applied directly to the numerals. With 11 dial positions and the hour, minute, and second hands all glowing in the dark, the watches maintain excellent readability in low-light conditions. The chapter ring along the outer edge of the dial receives a circumferential surface treatment, adding a refined feel.
The bezel incorporates a rotating compass indicator — an element seen in many past Seiko archive models — and lighter cuts on the bezel sides add both grip and a field watch visual identity.
How to Use the Compass Bezel

Northern Hemisphere: Hold the watch level and point the hour hand toward the sun. Align the "S" on the bezel midway between the hour hand and the 12 o'clock position. The compass directions shown on the bezel will correspond to the actual cardinal points at your location.
Southern Hemisphere: Hold the watch level and point the 12 o'clock position toward the sun. Align the "N" on the bezel midway between the hour hand and the 12 o'clock position. The compass directions shown on the bezel will correspond to the actual cardinal points at your location.
