Ikebukuro HUMAX Cinemas has released additional information about its upcoming special screening of all 13 episodes of the TV anime Serial Experiments Lain.
The screening ties in with "SEVESKIG presents let's all love lain," a collaboration project between fashion brand SEVESKIG (Sevushigu) and Serial Experiments Lain.
A newly drawn key visual created for the project by Yoshitoshi ABe has now been unveiled for the first time, alongside the full screening schedule and ticket sales details for the special showing at Ikebukuro HUMAX Cinemas.
The screenings will take place in Cinema 3, a roughly 300-seat auditorium. All 13 episodes will be shown across a special schedule spanning three weekdays and two weekend days. Tickets go on sale to Humax Cinema Web members from 9:00 PM on August 11 (Tuesday), and to non-members from 12:00 AM on August 12 (Wednesday).
Further announcements covering audience benefits, additional collaboration information, and details of a pop-up exhibition at Laforet Harajuku are planned for late August.

What Is Serial Experiments Lain?
Serial Experiments Lain debuted in 1998 as a media-mix work spanning a serialized magazine story, a TV anime broadcast, and a video game released simultaneously. The series explores the blurring boundary between the real world and the network world, along with the shifting nature of human connection, and remains popular today as an experimental work that anticipated the internet society to come.
Introduction: In a world where the "Navi" network terminal has become widespread, junior high school student Lain Iwakura becomes drawn into Navi after receiving an email from her classmate Chisa Yomoda, who is supposed to be dead. From there, she finds herself pulled into a series of strange incidents. What lies at the far end of the two worlds — the real world and the Wired?
