SESAME STREET MARKET, the world's only official Sesame Street store combining retail, cafe, and workshop experiences, will release the first collection of its joint project with actor Yosuke Kubozuka, "KING PROJECT created with YOSUKE KUBOZUKA," on November 12 (Thursday). The collection goes on sale at the Ikebukuro Sunshine City, Urban Dock LaLaport Toyosu, Hanshin Umeda Main Store, and Tamagawa Takashimaya S.C. locations, as well as the official online store.

"Open the door to the potential of every child!"
I thought I had known it for a long time, but when I learned that for more than 50 years it has continued to give children all over the world learning and enjoyment, staying close to them so that every child can live wisely, strongly, and kindly, I nearly cried. I am deeply drawn to its world, with diverse characters from all kinds of backgrounds who are one of a kind and loved across generations.
To express this project's theme of first accepting yourself as you are and then praising one another, I built the collection around a crown motif and the memorable "eyes" of the Sesame Street characters. I carefully adjusted the item lineup, designs, colors, and print positions, and I think the collection has come together in a way that conveys the theme.

About Yosuke Kubozuka
Yosuke Kubozuka was born on May 7, 1979, in Yokosuka, Kanagawa. He made his acting debut in 1995. For the 2001 film "GO," he won the Japan Academy Prize for Newcomer of the Year as well as Best Actor, becoming the youngest ever to win the latter. In 2017, he made his Hollywood debut in Martin Scorsese's "Silence." He appears in notable films in Japan and abroad, with many more projects awaiting release. In addition to stage work, he shows a wide range of talents through music, modeling, writing, and ceramic and ink painting creations, and he also devotes himself to producing his own YouTube show, a golf apparel brand, and sake.
