The No. 1 Fan-Favorite Recipe Becomes a Product — "Shin Ramyun Rosé Cup" Launches Exclusively at Seven-Eleven on May 18

Nongshim Japan is releasing a new entry in its globally recognized Shin Ramyun lineup: the "Shin Ramyun Rosé Cup." The product goes on sale first at Seven-Eleven stores nationwide from May 18 (Monday), 2026, and combines the bold spicy kick Shin Ramyun is known for with a rich, creamy rosé-style sauce. The flavor is built on a tomato and cream base enriched with gochujang umami, creating what the brand calls a "K-ROSE taste" — a Spicy & Creamy profile that has been gaining significant attention in recent years.

The No. 1 Arranged Recipe Now in a Cup

Shin Ramyun Rosé Cup product and dish presentation

Shin Ramyun has long been celebrated as a base for creative cooking, with countless recipe variations appearing on social media. Among those, "Rosé Shin Ramyun" stood out — ranking as the most-viewed recipe on Nongshim Japan's official website in 2025 (based on page views). Now that same combination has been packaged as a standalone product.

The flavor profile blends the richness of tomato and cream sauce with gochujang umami and the signature spicy punch of Shin Ramyun. The result is a creamy, smooth mouthfeel with a solid spicy-savory depth running through it. A newly developed flat, wavy noodle with ridged grooves has been created specifically for this product — the grooves help the sauce cling to the noodles for a richer bite.

The official arranged recipe, "Karamitsuku Umasa! Rosé Shin Ramyun," is available on the Nongshim Japan website: https://www.nongshim.co.jp/recipe/r76.html

The "Spicy & Creamy" Trend Behind the Product

Shin Ramyun Toowoomba and Rosé Cup product lineup

The Shin Ramyun Rosé Cup arrives on the back of the runaway success of "Shin Ramyun Toowoomba" — a creamy, pasta-style noodle product that launched in Korea in 2024 and sold 25 million units in just four months (combined bag and cup sales in Korea). When it launched in Japan in 2025, it surpassed 1 billion yen in annual sales (combined bag and cup), an exceptional achievement for a new product. It also became the first Korean ramen to appear in the Nikkei Trendy Hit Products Best 30, ranking 18th. The Rosé Cup follows that same Spicy & Creamy direction.

"Spicy Happiness In Noodles"

Shin Ramyun brand message visual

Shin Ramyun's global tagline, "Spicy Happiness In Noodles," captures the brand's message for the world. The phrase takes its initials from "Shin" (辛), making it accessible even to audiences unfamiliar with Chinese characters. It expresses the idea that the spice of Shin Ramyun is not just heat, but a source of joy — that a bowl of noodles can become a special moment. The brand continues to carry this message forward, aiming to bring flavorful everyday moments to people around the globe.
