Snow Miku Collaborates with Biratori Town, Hokkaido for the 40th Suzuran Viewing Event

Biratori Town (びらとりちょう) in Hokkaido is celebrating the 40th anniversary of its annual Suzuran Viewing Event with a collaboration featuring Snow Miku — a character derived from virtual singer Hatsune Miku that serves as a Hokkaido ambassador. Crypton Future Media, Inc., the Sapporo-based company behind the character, announced the partnership, which runs from Saturday, May 23 to Sunday, May 31, 2026.

Snow Miku 2015 Visual Makes a Revival After 11 Years

The collaboration centers on the lily of the valley-themed "Snow Miku 2015" design — a costume selected through a public competition in 2015 under the theme "plants that evoke Hokkaido's winter." The costume for Snow Miku was designed by Taran, and the costume for the accompanying character Rabbit Yukine was designed by Hayuki.

The official festival visuals based on these designs — illustrated by Nardack — will return to the spotlight for the first time since the original SNOW MIKU 2015 festival, now adorning Biratori Town's early summer scenery.

The Memu Suzuran Colony (芽生すずらん群生地), which spans approximately 15 hectares in Biratori Town, has been officially certified as "Japan's Largest Wild Lily of the Valley Colony" by the Japan Record Certification Association.

"Find Snow Miku!" Scavenger Hunt at the Venue

At the viewing event site inside the Memu Suzuran Colony, miniature Snow Miku figures are hidden around the grounds for visitors to find. Participants who spot and photograph a hidden Snow Miku, then show the photo to reception staff, will receive a commemorative card.

A photo spot panel featuring Snow Miku visuals will also be set up at the venue.

Local Restaurant Collaboration — Collect a Sticker

Nine restaurants in Biratori Town are also participating in the collaboration. Diners who visit any of the participating establishments will receive a commemorative sticker. Hours and closing days vary by location, so checking each shop's information before visiting is recommended.

SNS Campaign to Win Biratori Wagyu

Visitors who participate in both the scavenger hunt and the restaurant collaboration can enter an SNS campaign for a chance to win Biratori Wagyu beef — a local specialty. A total of 25 winners will be selected by lottery from entries posted by Friday, June 12.

2. Take a photo that meets all three of the following conditions (multiple images in a single post are acceptable):
   • Shows the appeal of Biratori Town (scenery, food, experiences, etc.)
   • Includes the Snow Miku commemorative card from the scavenger hunt
   • Includes the Snow Miku commemorative sticker from the restaurant collaboration
3. Post the photo with a mention of the Biratori Town official account (X: @biratori_koho / Instagram: @biratori_koho_kocho) and the hashtag #雪ミクと平取すずらん.

Collaboration Goods and Packaging

Collaboration merchandise — including T-shirts, acrylic stands, and tote bags using the Snow Miku 2015 visuals — as well as collaborative packaging for local Biratori products are also planned.
