SUBU (スブ), a Tokyo-born winter sandal brand, will release a new collection, SUBU DOTS COLLECTION 2026, on October 9, 2026 (Friday). Reservations at the official online store begin on October 2 (Friday).
This season marks the brand's 10th anniversary, and the concept is "THE WINTER EVOLUTION." The lineup takes the forms of all kinds of footwear, including loafers, setta (traditional Japanese sandals), sneakers, and ballet shoes, into winter sandals, with 10 styles in 22 colors. Prices range from ¥9,900 to ¥14,300 (tax included).
THE WINTER EVOLUTION
SUBU spent its first 10 years researching a question no one had asked: do people really need sandals in winter?
The brand points out that footwear has evolved alongside human history, from wrapping grass and weaving leather to using fur to withstand the cold. Shoes continued to change with the times and eventually became a means of fashion and self-expression. Yet no matter how far civilization advanced, the idea of wearing sandals in winter had long been absent from that line of evolution.
From there, the brand set out a hypothesis: if there were footwear that let people enjoy the cold rather than simply endure it, winter might feel more free. Through repeated prototyping and refinement over 10 years, SUBU took shape. Its insulation, comfort, and a structure that can be walked on outdoors were all developed as evolution toward a future of comfort and relaxation.
SUBU describes itself as more than a sandal, a product that rewrites the season of winter from the feet up. This collection is presented as a "winter branching point" in the evolution of footwear, and as the brand's own theory of evolution.

The 10th anniversary collection brings the shapes of loafers, setta, sneakers, ballet shoes, and other kinds of footwear into winter sandals.
10th Anniversary POPUP Tour in Five Cities
SUBU turned 10 years old in 2026. To celebrate, the brand is holding a POPUP tour themed "Thank you for wearing" ("履いてくれて、ありがとう") from October to December, visiting five cities: Kyoto, Fukuoka, Nagoya, Shibuya, and Osaka.
POPUPs will also be held in Chengdu (China), Taipei, and Seoul, kicking off an Asia tour. Details will be announced later.
