Summer Cool-off Returns to Tokyo Disney Resort for Summer 2026

From July 2 (Thursday) to September 14 (Monday), 2026, Tokyo Disney Resort will hold its special summer event, "Summer Cool-off at Tokyo Disney Resort," offering a range of water-soaking experiences, limited-edition entertainment, exclusive goods, and seasonal menus at both Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea.

Now in its second year, the 2026 edition features summer-limited versions of familiar park attractions and entertainment, along with a collaboration with artist Mrs. GREEN APPLE.

Tokyo Disneyland

Entertainment: "Baymax's Mission Cooldown"

Venue: Parade Route
Performance time: Approx. 35 minutes (3 performances per day)
Number of floats: 2

Along the parade route, Baymax — the care robot from Disney's Big Hero 6 — takes on the mission of protecting guests from the summer heat. Assigned to raise the "energy levels" of heat-stricken guests, Baymax's float stops whenever it detects an area with critically low energy levels and water sprays out. The program uses "Carrying Happiness (Tokyo Disney Resort Version)" by Mrs. GREEN APPLE, the artist collaborating with this year's Summer Cool-off.

Entertainment: "Reach for the Stars: Everlasting Dreams"

Venue: Cinderella Castle
Performance time: Approx. 25 minutes (1 performance per day)

The castle projection show "Reach for the Stars," which began in 2024, reaches its finale as "Reach for the Stars: Everlasting Dreams." Starting July 2 (Thursday), a special ending sequence set to an exclusive piece of music will be added after the main show. The show depicts Disney and Pixar characters soaring through the sky in pursuit of their dreams, projected onto Cinderella Castle.

Note: The show may be changed or canceled due to weather or other circumstances.

Attraction: "Gadget's Go Coaster" — Soaking Version

For a limited time during summer, "Gadget's Go Coaster" — the thrilling coaster built by the inventive mouse Gadget — will be transformed into a soaking version. As the ride charges through jets of water shooting up like fountains, guests on board will get completely drenched. It's a cool and exciting experience that pairs perfectly with the summer heat.

Attraction: "Baymax's Happy Ride" — Special Version

For the summer period, a limited-time song — "Carrying Happiness (Tokyo Disney Resort Version)" by Mrs. GREEN APPLE — will be added to the normal rotation of six original songs that play during this attraction. The ride has care robots tugging guests' cars and spinning them in unexpected ways, and the upbeat, lively tune promises even more laughs and happiness.

Note: The limited-time song is added to the existing rotation and plays randomly. After 7:00 PM, only the limited-time song is played.

Attraction: "Splash Mountain 'More! Soaking MAX'"

"Splash Mountain," the log flume ride that sends guests plunging down a 16-meter drop, returns this summer with its special version, "Splash Mountain 'More! Soaking MAX.'" Introduced last year, this version delivers an even greater flood of water onto riders — and even onlookers nearby — for an exhilarating summer splash.

Attraction: "Jungle Cruise: Wildlife Expedition"

Skippers at "Jungle Cruise: Wildlife Expedition" will lead a special tour called "The Most Important Lesson of the Jungle." Guests who take the cruise will also receive a sticker as proof that they've learned the jungle's most important lesson.

Note: Stickers are available while supplies last.

Country Bear Theater "Vacation Jamboree"

From July 2 (Thursday) to October 31 (Saturday), the classic "Country Bear Theater" returns with its summer special, "Country Bear Theater 'Vacation Jamboree.'" Eighteen bears with big personalities deliver a humorous country and western concert. It's a fun, lighthearted show perfect for the whole family.

"Soaking" Toontown

Toontown brings back its summer soaking spots this year. Cool mist and waterfall-like jets appear at the Jolly Trolley Depot, while water shoots from the Toontown Fire Station and the Fireworks Factory. Adults and children alike can enjoy getting thoroughly soaked.

Note: For safety reasons, please do not go barefoot, wear swimsuits, or remove clothing while using these water features. This applies to small children as well.

Tokyo DisneySea

Attraction: "Aquatopia" — Soaking Version

The self-guided water vehicle attraction "Aquatopia," known for its unpredictable movements, will again offer a limited-time soaking version this summer. Note that Aquatopia is scheduled to close on September 14 (Monday). It's a final chance to enjoy the unforgettable soaking experience before the attraction closes.

Note: Aquatopia reopens in its regular version from April 23 (Thursday) through June 30 (Tuesday) after a scheduled maintenance period.

"Soaking" Harbor Splash (Mediterranean Harbor)

The "Soaking Harbor Splash" returns to Piazza Topolino at Mediterranean Harbor. Guests can enjoy a drenching from massive jets of water, and during splash times, "Carrying Happiness (Tokyo Disney Resort Version)" by Mrs. GREEN APPLE plays as the water surges even more powerfully.

Note: The soaking program may be changed or canceled due to weather or other circumstances. Large amounts of water may soak faces, clothing, and shoes. Please store smartphones and other electronics safely in bags or pockets.

Tokyo Disneyland Hotel will host "Tokyo Disneyland Hotel Summer Adventure!," a rally program running both indoors and at the outdoor Misty Mountains Pool. Inspired by the "Lost Boys" — the adventurous children from Disney's Peter Pan — the program leads guests through a series of puzzles and tricks set up by the boys. Completing the indoor rally earns an original sticker from Cast Members, while the poolside version has guests searching for treasures drawn by the Lost Boys.

Disney Ambassador Hotel will hold a new event, "Tropical Summer Festival," themed around "celebrating the bounty of summer," across all its restaurants and the outdoor Palm Garden Pool. A tropical atmosphere fills the hotel as guests enjoy summer-perfect menus and drinks.

Note: The rally program at Tokyo Disneyland Hotel is available to hotel guests only. Rally leaflets are provided in guest rooms. Participation cards for the Misty Mountains Pool rally are distributed to children in elementary school and below upon pool entry. A separate fee applies for Misty Mountains Pool use. Adult accompaniment is recommended.

Special Passport Options

During this period, the "Early Evening Passport" (available for regular holidays from 3:00 PM) and the "Weeknight Passport" (available on weekdays from 5:00 PM) will be renamed "After 3 Summer Passport" and "After 5 Summer Passport" respectively, and will be available every day regardless of the day of the week. Additionally, a limited-time "1-Day Park Hopper Passport" will be on sale, allowing guests to enter from the morning and move freely between both parks from 11:00 AM onward.
