Tokyo Bay Shiomi Prince Hotel (Shiomi, Koto City, Tokyo) is bringing back its popular cherry blossom season limited event "Tide of SAKURA" this spring, following its well-received debut last year.
The event features two main experiences: the SAKURA Cruise, which lets guests take in cherry blossoms blooming on both riverbanks from a boat, and the Tide of Rickshaw, a rickshaw stroll around the hotel's Edo-flavored neighborhood. The hotel also has a limited-time Spring Sale available for those planning a stay from cherry blossom season through the summer.
SAKURA Cruise
The SAKURA Cruise returns for a second year, taking guests aboard a traditional cruise boat from "Fukagawa Fujimi," a long-established boat house with roots going back to the Edo period. The route winds through the Oyokogawa River, a hidden gem lined with approximately 270 cherry trees. Gliding along the water with cherry blossoms reflected on the surface and a gentle spring breeze makes for a seasonal experience that can only be had from aboard a boat.

Tide of Rickshaw – Cherry Blossom Rickshaw Stroll
For two days during the cherry blossom season, rickshaws from Asakusa's "Tokyo Rikishaw" will visit the Shiomi area. Guests can ride through the Koto Ward Shiomi neighborhood, an area shaped by land reclamation since the Edo period, while a rickshaw puller shares stories about the hotel and the history of the Shiomi area. The approximately 20-minute course includes stops for photos at cherry blossom spots.
Dates: March 26 (Thu) and April 2 (Thu) (scheduled)
Hours: 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM (approximately 20 minutes per ride)
