Takara can Chu-Hi Launches Limited Tokushima Sudachi Flavor Nationwide on July 28

Takara Shuzo Co., Ltd. is releasing a new limited-quantity flavor, Tokushima Sudachi, from its Takara can Chu-Hi brand — Japan's first canned chu-hi, first launched in 1984 — nationwide on July 28 (Tuesday).

Development of this flavor began after members of the online fan community Takara Fan Community expressed strong hopes for the revival of a flavor previously sold. The company had sold a limited-edition Sudachi-Wari version of Takara can Chu-Hi back in 1996, making this new release its first limited-edition revival of the flavor in about 30 years.

Takara can Chu-Hi is positioned as a premium chu-hi built on carefully selected ingredients. To achieve its rich flavor, the amount of barrel-aged liquor has been increased by 10% compared to Takara can Chu-Hi Lemon, and the new flavor uses sudachi juice sourced specifically from Tokushima Prefecture, offering a premium taste suited to the coming season.

Through this limited release of Takara can Chu-Hi Tokushima Sudachi, Takara Shuzo aims to meet the expectations of longtime fans while giving newcomers a chance to experience the brand's appeal, further revitalizing and growing the Takara can Chu-Hi brand. The company continues to use its expertise to create new flavors and value within Japanese alcoholic beverages (wa-shu), contributing to customers' rich and joyful everyday lives.
