Fuji-Q Highland in Fujiyoshida, Yamanashi Prefecture, will welcome Tarepanda as a new greeting character at MEMORY STUDIO from Saturday, December 12, 2026. MEMORY STUDIO is a greeting photo studio inside San-X Paradise, a permanent themed area built around the world of San-X characters. It is an indoor greeting facility where visitors can get up close to characters and take photos together.
This will be the first time anywhere in the world that Tarepanda appears as a greeting character. Tarepanda is usually known for lying down and moving slowly, but for this appearance it will take a standing pose. Visitors can meet Tarepanda face to face and have their photo taken together.
Ahead of the December 12 launch, a debut event for Tarepanda will be held on Saturday, November 14. From November, Tarepanda goods will also begin appearing in the shops inside San-X Paradise.
Early Debut Event for Tarepanda on November 14
The debut event takes place on the same day that San-X Paradise Secret Party!, an indoor walk-through attraction, opens. Tarepanda will appear twice that day, giving visitors a chance to see the first-ever greeting version of the character before the full launch in December.

Tarepanda Goods at San-X Paradise Shops
From November, Tarepanda goods will appear in stages at the shops inside San-X Paradise, and a dedicated Tarepanda corner will also be set up.
Tarepanda Joins MEMORY STUDIO on December 12
From Saturday, December 12, Tarepanda joins the lineup at MEMORY STUDIO. Visitors can enjoy seeing Tarepanda right in front of them and take photos together, in an experience available only here.

How to use
The One Day Pass cannot be used for this experience. A separate timed-entry ticket is required. Tickets can be purchased online or at the ticket machine in front of the facility on the day of the visit.
Online sales start at 6:00 PM three days before the date of use.
About San-X Paradise
San-X Paradise is an area built on the concept of "characters × healing × amusement park = a chemical reaction of 'kawaii.'" Characters greet visitors throughout the area, letting guests enjoy the world of the San-X Universe.
The area includes two outdoor attractions: "Rilakkuma no Makumaku Sweets Viking" (リラックマのまくまくスイーツバイキング), where guests can enjoy the feel of a boat trip with Rilakkuma, and "Sumikkogurashi no Balloon Cupcake" (すみっコぐらしのバルーン・カップケーキ), where guests can enjoy an aerial stroll with Sumikkogurashi (すみっコぐらし).
