During the weeping cherry blossom season, the permanent artwork Resonating Trees - Weeping Cherry shines in colors matched to the weeping cherry trees. This display can be seen from the weeping cherry blossom opening on Saturday, April 4, 2026, through until the petals fall.
Resonating Trees - Weeping Cherry
When people or animals pass nearby, the trees emit glowing light and resonant tones. Surrounding trees respond in turn, each glowing and sounding one after another.
When light rushes in from deep within the trees, it signals that someone — or some creature — is nearby. Visitors become more aware of the presence of others sharing the space, as well as the animals and the surrounding environment.
Also on display for only a few days while the cherry blossoms are at their peak, Cherry Blossom Crystals and Cherry Blossom Apparitions glows like crystals floating up on a spring night.
teamLab Botanical Garden Osaka is a nighttime outdoor museum featuring artworks created using the plants, ponds, ecosystems, and environment of Nagai Botanical Garden. Flowers, trees, and other plants become part of the artwork, shifting with the seasons — spring, summer, autumn, and winter. It offers a world where nature itself becomes art.
