Teriha Spa Resort (照葉スパリゾート本店), a large-scale hot spring and spa complex located in Kashiiteriha, Higashi Ward, Fukuoka City, is preparing for its fourth major expansion renovation. Completion images for the new areas have been released ahead of the planned mid-April 2026 opening. With a total floor area exceeding 10,000 sq m, the facility aims to evolve beyond the conventional spa experience, strengthening its appeal as a space to "play, gather, and unwind."
Resort Lounge with Around 70 Board Games
A new "Resort Lounge" is being added, featuring around 70 varieties of board games. The space is designed for visitors of all types — whether solo guests looking for a quiet corner or families and groups wanting to spend active, social time together. The lounge caters to different moods, from lively board game sessions to relaxed downtime.
Combined with the facility's existing variety of rest areas, the addition makes it easier to find personal space even for solo visitors, while also accommodating large groups.
New Co-Ed Outdoor Area
An outdoor area open to both men and women is being built, featuring an outdoor sauna and a breezy terrace designed to evoke a tropical poolside atmosphere. The open-air setting makes it well suited for groups and couples seeking a relaxed, resort-like experience.
Enhanced Beauty Care Facilities in the Women's Area
The women's powder area will gain a "Dryer Bar" — a dedicated station featuring premium hair dryer models from several popular brands, available free of charge alongside standard dryers. Additionally, ReFa shower heads will be installed at select washing stations inside the women's large communal bath, enhancing the beauty care experience from bathing through post-bath grooming.

Expanded Kids & Family Space
A dedicated "Kids Corner" is being added within the existing Kids & Family Space. New items such as mats, picture books, and cushion blocks will be provided, creating a safe and welcoming play environment for children, making family visits even more comfortable.
Third Renovation: Training Room Upgrade in Mid-March 2026
Ahead of the fourth renovation, a third renovation is also planned for mid-March 2026. Four new exercise machines — including a chest press and a leg extension — will be added to the training room. These will be available to guests with a spa resort course ticket at no additional charge. Further details will be announced separately.
