Wrapped in the rich nature of Yugawara, THE BASE GLAMPING YUGAWARA is a hot-spring glamping resort where every room is its own fully independent private space. Its biggest draw is the open-air bath found in every guest room, filled with source hot-spring water that flows straight from the property — a chance to have the blessings of Yugawara Onsen entirely to yourself, savored at leisure in a private setting.
Meals are served in a dining and bonfire space designed in harmony with nature, where glamping cuisine built around fresh, local Yugawara ingredients can be enjoyed in an open-air setting. Wrapped in the flicker of the bonfire's flames, guests can spend an evening of healing that lets the everyday slip away.
Some rooms are also set up to welcome dogs, so a cherished family member can join the trip too — guests can spend the visit making unforgettable memories together in spacious surroundings.

The resort is also adding a "Craft Wine Tasting Free-Flow Night" to make the long autumn evenings even more indulgent. Carry the afterglow of checkout straight into a visit to Matsumoto Farm, overlooking Sagami Bay. It's a fresh, hands-on autumn activity — picking your own sun-ripened mikan oranges. The spacious orchard also welcomes dogs, so guests can share the joy of the harvest with family, including the family dog, under a clear autumn sky.

As the air turns cooler, a private sauna delivers even deeper relaxation. This autumn, the resort has put together a special routine designed to bring out everything the sauna has to offer.
The ritual starts before entering the sauna, with a ginger hojicha tea that warms the body from within and encourages sweating. After working up a good sweat, guests slip into a soft sauna poncho and cool down in the forest's clear air. To finish, a sip of kuromoji tea calms the nerves. Together, this carefully calibrated cycle of warmth and cool leads to a depth of balance guests haven't experienced before.
