Tsubaki in Okuyugawara Onsen Launches "Chrysanthemum Festival" Autumn Gourmet Plan

Tsubaki (海石榴 つばき), a ryokan in Okuyugawara Onsen (776 Miyakami, Yugawara-machi, Ashigarashimo-gun, Kanagawa Prefecture), is welcoming the Chrysanthemum Festival with a limited-time autumn gourmet plan available for stays from September 1 (Tue) to 9 (Wed), 2026.

September 9, when the overlapping odd numbers are said to bring yang energy to its peak, marks Choyo no Sekku, the Chrysanthemum Festival. In earlier times, Heian-era court nobles are said to have admired chrysanthemum blossoms on this day and prayed for longevity and good health.

The plan invites guests to mark this seasonal turning point with special dishes carrying the fragrance and color of the season.
