British Printmaker Emma Lawrenson's Limited Edition Prints Arrive at TIMBER YARD Interior Shop in Chiba

An exhibition and sale of works by British printmaker Emma Lawrenson has opened at TIMBER YARD, a lifestyle interior select shop in Chiba City. The show, which began on June 4, 2026, brings a selection of prints and drawings straight from Lawrenson's Yorkshire studio to Japan.

Emma Lawrenson's home and studio in Jackson Bridge, Yorkshire, England

Emma Lawrenson works from her home studio in Jackson Bridge, Yorkshire (near Holmfirth), drawing inspiration from the surrounding landscape. Her silkscreen prints and drawings reflect the changing seasons, natural textures, and the quiet rhythms of rural life — resulting in work that is meditative, layered, and atmospheric.

Each print is made by hand: Lawrenson uses hand-drawn stencils to layer color onto fine handmade paper, building up depth, texture, and detail with each successive pass.

"I love making work that has a sense of calm about it," she says. "And I aim to evoke that feeling in the viewer — a moment of pause, a return to something familiar, yet imagined anew."
