Roche Bobois TOKYO will unveil the exclusive collaboration collection with renowned Spanish film director Pedro Almodóvar on March 12, 2026, marking the first showcase of this extraordinary furniture line in Japan.
Established in Paris in 1960, Roche Bobois has embodied the concept of "Art de vivre" (the art of living), promoting a unique aesthetic that incorporates interior design as art into everyday life. Currently operating in over 60 countries worldwide, the brand presents spring/summer and fall/winter collections twice annually through collaborations with international designers and fashion brands.
This collection represents an unprecedented special project for Roche Bobois, realized through collaboration with Pedro Almodóvar, a Spanish film director who leads the global cinema world.
Known for his vibrant style, Pedro Almodóvar has carved a unique presence in film history by elevating color, form, and set design itself as a "character" in his works.
"Color" serves as a common "language" connecting Pedro Almodóvar and Roche Bobois, an essential element in expressing design and emotion. This exclusive collection thoroughly reflects his visual world.
The collaboration features original designs including the LOUNGE sofa adorned with iconic images and posters from his films, the RONDO 2 china unit, the OVNI UP cocktail table in color selections curated by him, and rug and cushion collections evoking his distinctive aesthetic. Additionally, celebrating the 10th anniversary of the brand's iconic BUBBLE sofa, special collaboration colors carefully selected by him have been introduced.
