Tokyo Banana is launching a collaboration with the iconic Monchhichi character to kick off a year of special events celebrating its 35th anniversary. Collaboration items will first go on sale through the official online shop from March 17, 2026, followed by in-store availability from March 19, 2026.
35th Anniversary Collaboration Year: First Up Is Tokyo Banana × Monchhichi
Since its launch in 1991, Tokyo Banana has grown into a beloved brand with cumulative sales exceeding 2 billion pieces (※1) and the world's No. 1 ranking in retail sales as a banana custard sponge cake brand (※2). Over the years, it has produced more than 187 product varieties. To celebrate the 35th anniversary, a collaboration year is being held to bring surprise and excitement to fans. Kicking it off is a special collaboration with Monchhichi (Monchhichi), a character loved across more than 30 countries worldwide.

A collaboration-exclusive Monchhichi keychain is being released, featuring a plush texture reminiscent of Tokyo Banana's soft sponge cake. The keychain depicts a girl Monchhichi dressed with Tokyo Banana's trademark blue ribbon.
