Shinagawa Prince Hotel presents a contemporary take on Japan's traditional cherry blossom viewing culture with the "Sky Cherry Blossom Viewing Afternoon Tea - Sakura & Strawberry," available for a limited time from March 1 to April 15, 2026, at DINING & BAR TABLE 9 TOKYO on the 39th floor of the Main Tower.
Located in the Shinagawa and Takanawa area, which continues to evolve as an international exchange hub, Shinagawa Prince Hotel embraces the concept "FUN! Goes On" by offering experiences that blend Japan's seasonal traditions with modern hospitality. This spring, the hotel reinterprets the beloved "hanami" (cherry blossom viewing) tradition through an elegant afternoon tea course.

A Modern Hanami Experience at 39th Floor
The afternoon tea transforms traditional cherry blossom viewing into a sophisticated dining experience. Guests enjoy panoramic views from the hotel's highest floor while savoring a carefully curated selection of dishes presented on a pale pink tier stand.
The savory selection features spring-inspired Japanese touches, including chicken supreme with strawberry fragrance, sakura flower and bamboo shoot merimelo with firefly squid, and sakura-flavored soy milk blancmange. The miniature hamburger infused with sakura aroma adds a playful element to the course.
The dessert tier showcases the delicate flavors of sakura and strawberry through items such as strawberry and white chocolate mousse, sakura verrine, sakura and strawberry mont blanc tart, and gateau fraise sakura. Each sweet is designed to evoke the gentle arrival of spring through both taste and appearance.
Three Grande Dessert Options

Guests select one of three signature grande desserts to complement their afternoon tea:
Signature Course
Strawberry and Flan Marriage with Strawberry Sorbet
Low-temperature baked custard flan paired with strawberry marmalade, Earl Grey-scented dip, and refreshing strawberry sorbet. The combination creates a light, spring breeze-like sensation through its delicate textures.
Hanami Parfait
This parfait captures the essence of cherry blossom viewing in a glass, depicting sakura swaying overhead and petals dancing on water. Layers include sakura jelly and cream, griotte cherry, tri-colored mousse representing dango (traditional spring dumplings), sakura ice cream, and sakura leaf chips.

Luxury Course (Advance Reservation Required)
Saint-Honoré Rose
Strawberry petit choux layered with sakura-colored cream, topped with griotte ice cream at the center. Sukre filé (spun sugar), sakura powder, and strawberry petals arranged like blooming cherry blossoms create an elegant, photogenic presentation that captures spring's uplifting atmosphere.

Curated Seasonal Tea Selection
The afternoon tea includes free-flow access to TABLE 9 TOKYO's curated seasonal tea selection, carefully chosen to complement the desserts with attention to fragrance, flavor, and color.

Queen of Cherry
Ceylon tea base blended with cherry fruit, offering a fruity and juicy character. The vibrant cherry aroma spreads richly with a smooth, non-astringent finish.
Waldmeister Raspberry (Caffeine-Free)
Waldmeister, an herb cherished in Germany that blooms delicate flowers in early spring, combines with sweet-tart raspberry flavor. This fruit tea offers a floral and approachable cup.
