Oi Racecourse's winter-only illumination, "TOKYO MEGA ILLUMINATION 2026-2027," lights up for 53 days on non-racing days between October 31, 2026 (Saturday) and January 10, 2027 (Sunday).
Now in its ninth season, this year marks the event's final chapter. The 100-meter corridor of light known as "Edo Sakura Tunnel" (江戸桜トンネル), the "Nihon Gen-Fukei" (日本原風景) area that captures the beauty of Japan, and the other areas glowing with Japanese-style light, as well as the giant symbol "Mega Tree" with its fantastical glow, are all being shown for the last time this season.
Due to redevelopment work inside Oi Racecourse, TOKYO MEGA ILLUMINATION will be paused from next season onward.
TOKYO MEGA ILLUMINATION (Oi Racecourse) is also known for its horse-themed programs, including the popular "meet miniature horses and ponies" and the "fountain × guide horse show." This season also brings a fifth consecutive year of collaboration with "RODY," and from opening day, the event kicks off with "Shinagawa Ward Citizens' Week."

Collaboration Program
RODY, a Worldwide Favorite, Returns for Another Collaboration — With a New Flavor for the Popular Light-Up Candy
This marks the fifth year of the RODY collaboration. TOKYO MEGA ILLUMINATION will again offer a play area where visitors can experience Rody, bring back last season's popular glow-in-the-dark keyholder, and introduce a new flavor of the light-up candy.
A stamp rally around the venue and a greeting event where visitors can take photos with Rody are also planned, offering experiences available only here.

Ward Citizens' Week
Companies, schools, and facilities from the surrounding area will host workshops, booths, performances, and character greetings connected to each ward, bringing a wide variety of events to TOKYO MEGA ILLUMINATION.

TOKYO MEGA ILLUMINATION 2026-2027 Overview (Planned)
Open days: Every day from October 31, 2026 (Saturday) to January 10, 2027 (Sunday), except on days when horse races are held at Oi Racecourse, as well as December 26 (Saturday), December 27 (Sunday), and January 1 (Friday, national holiday) — 53 days in total.

From Shinjuku direction: Shuto Expressway Chuo Circular Route → Oi JCT → Chukan Oi-Minami exit, then 5 minutes.
From Chiba direction: Shuto Expressway Wangan Route → Oi-Minami exit, then 5 minutes.
From Yokohama direction: Shuto Expressway Route 1 Haneda Line → Showajima JCT → Oi-Minami exit, then 5 minutes.
