Parents and Kids Learn About the SDGs This Summer: MOTTAINAI! Upcycling Workshop
Held under the theme "SDGs Start Today," this hands-on workshop lets parents and children enjoy learning together during summer vacation, giving them a chance to feel environmental and social issues up close and think about the future.
Through an upcycling experience that uses materials that would otherwise be thrown away, children can learn about the environment while having fun, creating an opportunity to think about future lifestyles and society.
The workshop also incorporates the idea of "backcasting" — thinking about what can be done now by working backward from an ideal future — making it more than just a craft activity and turning it into an educational summer program.

Featuring an insect popular with children, this hands-on program teaches the importance of resource circulation and craftsmanship while having fun.

It is easy for young children to join, making it a sustainability-focused activity that parents and children can enjoy together.
