Snow Park Opens at Towada Lake Winter Story Event on January 30 at 4:00 PM – Enjoy Snow Activities Without Equipment!
Lake Towada's Yasumiya area is blanketed in pristine white snow. The "Snow Park" at the Towada Lake Winter Story 2026 venue, opening January 30 (Friday), offers visitors a chance to experience snow activities without bringing their own equipment. The park welcomes guests starting at 4:00 PM on the event's opening day.
While experiencing the magnificent natural lakeside landscape, visitors can freely play in the snow. The Snow Park features large snow slides with gentle slopes, perfect for families with small children. Snow tube rentals are available for 300 yen per 10 minutes. Feel free to visit as often as you like! Additionally, thrilling snow banana boat rides are available – 500 yen on weekdays and 700 yen on weekends for an extreme cold adventure.
The Snow Park opens on the same days as "Towada Lake Winter Story 2026," from January 30 (Friday) to February 23 (Monday), operating on Fridays through Mondays and national holidays. Weekday hours (Mondays and Fridays) are 4:00 PM to 7:30 PM. Weekend hours (Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays) start at 11:00 AM.

About Towada Lake Winter Story 2026
Now in its 28th year, "Towada Lake Winter Story" has welcomed many visitors as an event that offers unique enjoyment during the harsh winter season. The Towada Lake Winter Story Executive Committee (Secretariat: Towada Oirase Tourism Organization) proposes ways to enjoy the silver-clad Lake Towada shoreline. This winter features content for both adults and children, including "winter fireworks" coloring the crisp winter sky, "Yukiakari Yokocho" offering gourmet dishes made with local ingredients, and "Snow Park" where visitors can casually play on the snow-covered lakeside. Stage events featuring traditional performing arts from northern Tohoku and performances by local volunteers will also be held.
