Travel HUB Nagano City Opens for Green Season on May 15 with Kimono Rentals and New Services

Travel HUB Nagano City, a tourism hub located a 2-minute walk from Nagano Station, is set to launch its green season operations on Friday, May 15, 2026. The hub is operated by Field Design Co., Ltd. in partnership with Tachibana Co., Ltd., a long-established kimono business in Nagano Prefecture.

During the winter season, the hub welcomed more than 4,000 visitors—primarily inbound tourists—over approximately 90 days of operation. Building on that success, the green season will continue existing services while introducing several new offerings, aiming to serve as a gateway for tourists, visitors, and local residents alike.

New Services for the Green Season

Kimono and Yukata Rental and Sales — "Kimono no Tachibana"

In partnership with "Kimono no Tachibana," a kimono retailer long cherished throughout Nagano Prefecture, the hub will offer kimono and yukata rental and sales. Visitors can enjoy visiting Zenkoji Temple and strolling through Nagano City's streets in traditional Japanese attire, providing a deeper connection to the city's culture and streetscapes.

Shinshu Ice Cream Select Shop — "Tabi Suru Spoon"

A select shop called "Tabi Suru Spoon" (Traveling Spoon) will showcase cup ice cream from producers across Nagano Prefecture, with the concept "Your journey through Shinshu starts with one spoon." The product lineup will rotate seasonally based on availability.

Participating shops include: Milk Factory kumapon's (Anan Town), Neverland (Nebamura), Misogahara Onsen Shofuu and Chabo IPPUKU (Matsumoto City), Nanaio Noen (Azumino City), Karuizawa Minoriya (Karuizawa Town), and Nakako Reika (Nakano City).

About Travel HUB Nagano City

Travel HUB Nagano City aims to be more than a tourist information office—it serves as a station-front hub connecting luggage, transportation, experiences, food, and culture, creating a new flow of visitors around Nagano Station.

In winter, it functions as a gateway to snow tourism. In spring, summer, and fall, it offers a starting point for city walks and regional experiences throughout the year.
