For two days only, Meriken Park in Kobe will transform into a "mini zoo" for "Waku Waku Animal World." Taking place on April 18 (Saturday) and 19 (Sunday), 2026, this limited-time event brings together over 30 species of small animals, birds, reptiles, and insects in the park's multi-purpose lawn area.
Set along the scenic Kobe waterfront, the event offers visitors a chance to get up close with all kinds of living creatures while enjoying the warm spring sea breeze.
Touch Experience Area



Visitors can gently touch various animals in this hands-on area. It's a popular highlight of the event that never fails to draw excited reactions from children.
Feeding Experience



Watch the animals munch on food right in front of you. Learning what each creature eats and how it eats makes for a surprisingly engaging experience that brings a sense of wonder about the natural world.
