A character song mini-album for the TV anime You Can't Be in a Rom-Com with Your Childhood Friends! is set for digital release at 12:00 AM on August 14, 2026 (Friday) across major music streaming services. Alongside the release, one-chorus music videos for each of the new songs are also being rolled out.
You Can't Be in a Rom-Com with Your Childhood Friends! is currently streaming on d Anime Store, AnimeFesta, and other platforms. The series is based on the romantic comedy manga by Shinya Misu, serialized in Kodansha's "Magazine Pocket," and follows the sweet, frustrating romance between childhood friends who can't quite be honest with their feelings. Satoshi Kuwabara directs, with series composition by Mitsutaka Hirota, scripts by Mitsutaka Hirota and Mayumi Morita, character design and chief animation direction by Rena Iwasaki, and animation production by Tezuka Productions.
All of the tracks on the newly announced character song mini-album are new, original compositions written especially for the release. The four cast members behind the vocals — Rin Kusumi (Shio Minamo), Yu Serizawa (Akari Hiodoshi), Sae Hiratsuka (Luna Tsukimi), and Yuki Yamamoto (Haru Hinata) — will perform the songs live at the "Osalove Fes" event on August 23 (Sunday).
The music videos for the three new songs go live individually: 曖昧∞ループ at 8:00 PM on August 14 (Friday), "Honey coming time" at 8:00 PM on August 15 (Saturday), and 相対性コイバナ理論 at 8:00 PM on August 16 (Sunday).

About the Anime
"Eu" (Yonosuke Sakai) is a first-year high school student with no girlfriend, who is completely hooked on romantic comedies — especially ones between childhood friends.
