Universal Studios Japan, marking the 25th anniversary of its opening, will hold its autumn seasonal event, Universal Extreme Autumn – Discover U!!!, from September 10 (Thursday) to November 8 (Sunday), 2026.
This autumn also marks the 15th anniversary of Halloween Horror Nights, which begins September 11 (Friday). Since its debut in 2011, the event has grown in quality and scale every year, establishing horror as a new form of autumn leisure in Japan through its immersive atmosphere and inventive entertainment. For this milestone 25th anniversary year, the event evolves into an even more extreme experience, with fear pressing in from every direction and no escape in sight.
A new season of "hopeless terror" is about to begin.
Halloween Horror Nights Marks 15 Years With Its Most Extreme Fear Yet (September 11–November 8)

Now in its 15th year, Halloween Horror Nights delivers an intense lineup spanning the entire park — from park-wide street experiences to collaborations with a globally popular survival horror game series and a hit anime, bringing horror on an unprecedented scale.
For its 15th anniversary, Halloween Horror Nights pushes Japan's autumn leisure into an entirely new dimension with an even more extreme horror experience.
Street Zombies
This year features the largest number of zombies ever to appear at the event, with an all-new story packed with 15 years' worth of fear. The park's everyday scenery is overrun and devoured by hordes of zombies, plunging every corner of the guest's view into horror on a scale never seen before.
Zombie de Dance / Special Show
Zombie de Dance gets guests dancing to King Gnu's "SO BAD," and at the end of each day, past fan-favorite collaboration songs — including Ado's "Show" and Sandaime J Soul Brothers' "Rat-tat-tat" — return in a special medley. Zombies and horror legends who have terrified guests throughout the event's history also reunite for a special show, "Halloween Horror Nights Academy – 15 Years of Screams," condensing 15 years of fear and madness into one performance.
New Attraction: Resident Evil Requiem: The Dive
Marking the 30th anniversary of Capcom's globally popular survival horror game series this year, a new horror attraction based on the latest installment, Resident Evil Requiem, debuts at the park. Set in the abandoned Renwood Hotel and a sanatorium — both memorable locations from the game — creatures attack from every direction. The unpredictable terror never lets up, pushing guests to their absolute limit.
*This attraction runs from September 11 (Friday) to December 27 (Sunday), 2026.
Other Halloween Horror Nights Attractions
The screamer ride The Curse of Sadako – Dark Horror Ride, first introduced in 2023, makes its return, alongside the zombie-manufacturing walk-through Factory of Fear – Zombie Tour of Despair. KATE Presents: The Witch of No. 18 – A Mansion Where Emotions Play Wild, a sensory attraction born from a collaboration with global makeup brand KATE that generated major buzz last year, is also back.
The event brings a collaboration with the hit anime Chainsaw Man through the 4-D attraction Chainsaw Man: The Chaos 4-D, along with Smileys' Happy Halloween Greeting, which brings the 4-D attraction's characters out onto the street in person. The backward-facing thrill coaster Hollywood Dream – The Ride: Backdrop adds Kenshi Yonezu's "IRIS OUT," the theme song of the film Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc, to its soundtrack, while Zombie de Dance x Hollywood Dream – The Ride revives past Zombie de Dance hits on the thrilling coaster. Together, these anniversary-exclusive attractions round out a wide variety of horror content.
