Y's Unveils "TOKYO: HELD MOVEMENT" Photo Series for 2026 S/S Collection Shot by Max Vadukul

Y's has released "TOKYO: HELD MOVEMENT," a striking new photo series for their 2026 Spring/Summer collection captured by acclaimed photographer Max Vadukul on the streets of Tokyo.

Max Vadukul's Vision of Y's and Tokyo Streets

The photo series represents Max Vadukul's distinctive portrayal of people and streets, embodying the spirit of Y's. Through his signature black and white photography, Y's garments on the streets of Tokyo radiate a powerful presence while containing intense energy.

"TOKYO: HELD MOVEMENT" captures not choreography but control and tension. Each frame depicts moments when the body is pushed to stillness yet the will persists. The spirit of Y's breathes through every image.

What emerges is the quiet power dwelling between breath and release—raw moments of existence within pressure.

That tension—the suspension—is the essence.

About Y's

Y's is the first brand created by Yohji Yamamoto in 1972, representing his philosophy and ideology of clothing creation. Originating from the concept of women wearing men's clothing, the brand creates garments for independent women who possess timeless values. Functional and dignified everyday wear. Y's creations are shaped within a unique category through universal values and distinctive pattern making. The clothing creation emphasizes cutting and silhouette, utilizing the texture of materials and valuing the sense of air, volume, and balance between the body and garment that emerges when worn. Through the expression of the current atelier team that inherits this philosophy, Y's embodies the brand's identity, presenting high-quality prêt-à-porter collections.
