YAESU BIG HOLIDAY 2026 — Family-Friendly Golden Week Events Return to Tokyo Midtown Yaesu

Tokyo Midtown Yaesu (Chuo-ku, Tokyo) is hosting "YAESU BIG HOLIDAY 2026" during the Golden Week holiday period, from April 29 (Wed/Holiday) to May 6 (Wed/Substitute Holiday), 2026. Combining the spirit of the Children's Day holiday — with its traditional wish for healthy growth — with the theme of "growing bigger," the event brings together hands-on activities, outdoor play, and live music for families at one of Tokyo's most convenient locations, directly connected to Tokyo Station.

BIG HOLIDAY Koi-Nobori Kuguri — Walk Through a 25-Meter Giant Koi Nobori

The centerpiece of the event returns for another year: a giant koi nobori (carp streamer) measuring approximately 2.5 meters in diameter and 25 meters in length is set up inside the 1F Galleria. Visitors can walk right through the colorful Yuzen-dyed tunnel, offering a rare chance to experience this symbol of Children's Day from the inside. Children and adults alike can enjoy the spacious interior.

In collaboration with the University of Tokyo Yaesu Academic Commons and related research groups, the event features interactive science and creative workshops for young visitors.

Science Experiment: "The Mystery of Rotation — Why Doesn't a Bike Fall Over?"

Learn about the gyro effect through a hands-on craft using a hand spinner as a model bicycle wheel.

BIG HOLIDAY Kids Play Park — An Outdoor Play Area in the Business District

Colorful play vehicles loaded with toys and play equipment will appear at Tokyo Midtown Yaesu for a limited time. The area includes benches and play structures, giving children a free outdoor space to explore a variety of materials and activities.

BIG HOLIDAY Kids Music Square — Live Music as Part of La Folle Journée

As part of La Folle Journée, a free outdoor concert will be held at Tokyo Midtown Yaesu. Students from Tokyo College of Music will perform professional concerts alongside participatory programs where children can try playing instruments themselves.
